I am Scottish and after leaving school studied Law at Edinburgh University. I then spent many years working in the insurance industry and my specialisation in professional negligence brought me to the South West.
However the wish to work with care and my interest in natural healing was never far away and I studied classical massage in Bristol in 1993, followed by aromatherapy qualifications from the London School of Aromatherapy in 1996. I am a member of the International Society of Professional Aromatherapists.
After leaving insurance, I trained in Midwifery, gaining my diploma with distinction from the University of Plymouth in 2005.
Healing can take many forms and I have studied Celtic Shamanism with John & Caitlin Matthews. I have also completed courses with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers and hold first and second degree Reiki.
Outside work, I enjoy working with my husband in our cottage garden, which has a theme of healing plants and trees.
I work closely with other therapists in the area and will not hesitate to refer you if I feel they can help you more than I can. I am committed to updating and further education and am studying for an Msc in Healthcare Ethics and Law at Bristol University.
